Kennedy House Youth Shelter

We provide emergency shelter and essential services for youth experiencing homelessness. We address the many issues and causes of homelessness by helping youth stay healthy as well as access jobs, permanent housing, clothing, and other resources that will assist them as they transition to a successful future.

About the Shelter

Opened in 2013, Kennedy House Youth Shelter offers emergency and supportive care to youth ages 16-24 who are experiencing or are at risk of experiencing homelessness. Located in East York, with a temporary second location in Scarborough, Kennedy House Youth Shelter can house up to 55 youth in need.

Shelter Programming

There are many factors that contribute to homelessness. At Kennedy House Youth Shelter we work to meet clients where they’re at.

Programming offered includes, but is not limited to: financial literacy courses, cooking classes, art therapy, one-on-one counselling, substance abuse and harm reduction, sexual education classes, and more.
