About the Shelter Opened in 2014, Kennedy House Youth Shelter offers emergency and supportive care to youth ages 16-24 who are experiencing or are at risk of experiencing homelessness. Located in East York, Kennedy House Youth Shelter can house up to 23 youth in need. Contact Us Shelter Programming There are many factors that contribute to homelessness. At Kennedy House Youth Shelter we work to meet clients where they’re at. Programming offered includes, but is not limited to: financial literacy courses, cooking classes, art therapy, one-on-one counselling, substance abuse and harm reduction, sexual education classes, and more. Note: We can hold shelter spots for up to 2.5hrs for transportation purposes. Do you accept in-kind donations? Can you disclose who is staying at your Shelter? For privacy and security reasons we cannot confirm whether particular individuals may be residing at Kennedy House Youth Shelter. However, we can take down your information and post it on our bulletin board should a client be staying with us and wish to make contact. How can I volunteer at the Shelter?
