Kennedy House Youth Centre This 12-bed facility for males provides a safe, consistent and highly structured environment for high-risk youth who have been detained or sentenced (in custody) under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Getting clients back on track is our highest priority. Staff work towards ensuring that clients do not reoffend upon release by: Focusing on the rewards of positive decision-making Building relationships through open, honest communication Providing consistent counselling Executing positive role modelling Providing evidence-based programming Maintaining a state-of-the-art modern facility that is clean, comfortable and respectful Offering on-site educational and vocational programming Contact Us Do you have questions?We have answers. Does Kennedy House Youth Centre accept clients by private or individual referral? No. The Kennedy House Youth Centre is not open to, nor does it provide services to, the general public. All Youth Centre clients have been legally detained or placed in custody under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Their identities are protected and no public access is permitted. Do clients at the Kennedy House Youth Centre attend school? Yes. We are proud to partner with local school boards to provide on-site schooling for Youth Centre clients. Every year we watch clients earn their high school diplomas while in the Youth Centre program. It is always a wonderful thing to witness. Who works at the Youth Centre? The Kennedy House Youth Centre employs a wide variety of team members including Social Workers, Child & Youth Workers, maintenance staff, and administrative staff. How long do clients reside at Kennedy House? The length of time that a client stays at our secure facility can vary. Some clients are in custody awaiting trial, while others have been sentenced for a set period of time.
